I have a friend who likes to make his absinthe with hot water. He says it brings out more of the hebal flavors and is kind of like a hot toddy. It doesn’t sound too good to me and I was wondering if anyone else out there had ever tried this. Please let me know.

While browsing through my local video store I came across an interesting little movie. It’s called “Blood and Chocolate”. This is a werewolf movie very atmospherically filmed in Romania. What is of special interest is that the clan of werewolves also makes absinthe. There are scenes of their factory where you can see their absinthe still. There are several absinthe drinking scenes and I have come to find out that all of the  absinthe spoons, absinthe glasses,  and absinthe fountains were supplied by leading German absinthe distributor Alandia. This isn’t the best werewolf movie I’ve seen, but it’s worth watching just for the absinthe.
