We here at Absinthe.FM would like to wish all of our friends a very Happy Thanksgiving! So go ahead, eat lots of good food, visit with friends and relatives, then sit back and relax and have a glass or two (or three) of absinthe and enjoy yourselves. Cheers!   :)

Republique Absinthe

I really like this one! It is one of the smoothest, mildest, yet potent absinthes I have had. It has a very refined flavor, that at once is delicious and at the same time goes down like water. At 136 proof it’s quite strong, but at the same time I can’t detect even a hint of alcohol. This is one I’d love to drink sitting out by the pool in the Arizona sun. Experienced absintheurs will, I think, appreciate, the fineness of this and newbies will not be put off by a strong flavor, as I find is often the case.  If you’re thinking of trying this one I’d really recommend getting two bottles as once you start drinking it you won’t want to stop,  and the bottle will go way too fast (I know mine did :) )

This is a very good French Absinthe verte. The aroma has some notes I can’t quite put my finger on. The color is a beautiful emerald green and the louche is fast forming and quite thick and layered. It has a well rounded flavor where no one herb stands out or overpowers any other. The wine base does give it a slightly sweet, fruity taste. This is one I will be getting again! It’s available from our sister Absinthe Shop ALANDIA.de.
