Absinthe Halloween Shot

This might sound a bit extraordinary, but for Halloween I just prepared a special Absinthe Shot. As we have Halloween I stood in the supermarket thinking of a special ingredient to create an Absinthe Halloween shot as a welcome drink for our upcoming Halloween party. Hmm, what can I buy… I thought of pumpkin, the symbol of Halloween. Then I moved to the canned vegetable section and found pumpkin pieces in vinegar. You know these little orange pieces you add to a salad. My idea, put it in a shot glass, and fill the glass with Absinthe. I bought it and at home I used Gold68 as the prefered Absinthe, as this one mixed perfectly with the sweet and sour taste of the pumpkin. Let´s see how guest like it, it´s special, and I´m sure, the later the night, the more interest for this drink will come up…

That sounds very interesting! How did your guests like the shots?

They liked it, they were gone fast. Although you have to look out, that not too much of the vinegar gets into the absinthe. It´s special, but I guess next halloween I will serve them again.
