It was common at the turn of the century for photographers to try and sell their pictures to postcard manufacturers. It was also common to use children as subjects in situations you would not expect to see them in. This is a photographers’ proof and I don’t believe it was ever used on a postcard or published. I wish I had that kind of childhood .

Finally…. Good US Made Absinthe

Ever since absinthe was legalized here in the USA in 2007 I’ve been looking for a US absinthe that could hold its’ own against the best of the Euro brands. I’ve been very dissapointed …. until now. A few years ago Joe Legate started the …Ridge Distillery to produce absinthe. I decided that it was time to give a few US brands a try. So I picked up a bottle each of the Ridge Blanche and the Ridge Verte. I am delighted to say that they are both excellent, right up there with my favorite Euro brands. Wonderful aromas ( the blanche reminds me of the Essai line from the Matter Distillery), great color on the verte, and full, rich flavor with both. My hat’s off to Joe and the Ridge Distillery for finally putting the USA in the running with Europe See More
