This Absinthe has no licorice taste, although it has a white louche when ice cold water is added. Absinthe Mata Hari, in reference to the fabled exotic dancer of the Belle Époque, has a powerful effect. Besides the traditional preparation with water, you can drink it mixed with Coke - We named this drink "Mata Coke" and like it a lot. The new recipe is without artificial colorings in cmparison to the old recipe version.

Very good alternative to traditional absinthe. My wife loves it, and tried it with Coke for the first time last night. I enjoyed it with the french ritual, however I noticed that it appeared to louche, even in the Coke my wife used. We made our second purchase just last night!
